A fragment of a limestone baptismal font of the 12th-13th century originally recovered from a pond in the rectory at Lovenjoel now [2022] resides in the colections of the Taxandriamuseum [https://erfgoedinzicht.be/collecties/detail/67e8a4fe-518f-565a-86ea-7fbc24b0db2b/media/9e0183c9-a381-bc21-7ba7-eb60f01e1882?mode=detail&view=horizontal&q=doopvont&rows=1&page=37] [accessed 16 June 2022]; the measurements of the fragment, a human head, are given as: "hoogte 28.5 cm; breedte 15.0 cm; diepte 17.0 cm" The entry for Lovenjoel in BALaT KIK-IRPA [http://balat.kikirpa.be/object/41369] [accessed 16 June 2022] notes and illustrates a baptismal font made of marble between 1851 and 1875.
A further communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 31 May 2022) mentions also a fragment of a Mosan baptismal font: "Limestone (or Maasland blue stone) fragment of a Romanesque baptismal font with a freely stylized human head on the corner of the basin, next to a decorated surface. Found by pastor Willems from Arendonk (the fragment is said to have been found in Ravels).
