The present baptismal font is described in the Wikipedia entry for this church [https://de-m-wikipedia-org.translate.goog/wiki/Kirche_St._Zeno_(Bad_Reichenhall)?_x_tr_sl=de&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=sc] [accessed 13 June 2022]: The baptismal font from 1522 is in the last bay of the northern aisle and is made of Adnet marble , like the pulpit . The twelve sides with recessed areas are designed in the late Gothic style (Salzburg baptismal font type). The stone is the work of several masters who marked it with their marks. The twelve sides bear bas-reliefs with busts of the apostles and banners of the Apostles' Creed in German. The relief of Matthew contains the coat of arms of Provost Wolfgang Lueger and the coat of arms of the monastery. Old traces of paint from an original version can be seen on the background of the reliefs. The lower part of the wooden lid is decorated with reliefs of Christ carrying the cross and eleven lively moving angels with the instruments of the Passion (nails, ointment jar, crown of thorns, lantern and fire, dice, ladder, sweat cloth , scourge column, tongs and nails and the vinegar sponge). There are Renaissance ornaments on the pyramid-shaped triangular end surfaces, above which there is a knob plate, a base, a dove , which symbolizes the Holy Spirit, and the mechanism for lifting the lid. Two old metal staples remain from the anchoring of an older cover. The inner basin has now a metal insert partitioned the French way (holy-water reservoir, compartments for the holy oils, etc., larger part with a drain; partly covered).
