Noted in Pauly (1986) as a late-Romanesque baptismal font; basin supported on six columns and a central support; probably dated to 1247, the date of the consecration of the church. Pauly (ibid.) mentions a visitation report from 1779 which reported the presence of the baptismal font in the collegiate church ["fons baptimalis existit in ecclesia collegiata"], and the holy chrism for baptism as well ["und fügt erläuternd hinzu, auch die zur Spendung der Taufe verwendeten hI. Öle (olea salutis et chrismatis) würden dort aufbewahrt"]. The brass font cover is a moulded dome with an orb-and-cross finial.
