Church Notes: church here owned nid-12thC by Lobbes Abbey (documented 1142); 13thC tower remains after the church was destroyed in 1578; re-built 1728;
Listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/3894] [accessed 17 April 2023] as a baptismal font of stone dated 1607 by an inscription. Baptismal font of limestone consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin raised on a a round pedestal base; the basin has a prominent moulding at the upper rim, with a band of round niches or windows below; on one side the row is interrupted by a carved inscription with the "1607" date; a roll moulding marks the start of the underbowl, which is decorated with a pattern of prominent gadroons all around; the round stem has fluted pattern all around, with a roll moulding at each end, but there is a band of leaf motif around the bottom of the stem; the wider circular lower base has graded mouldings all around. There is a metal cover, low-dome with a cross finial.
