Noted and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [ttp://balat.kikirpa.be/object/37978] [accessed 19 May 2022] as a baptismal font of stone dated between 1601 and 1700 [NB: this source does not mention the inscription].
Noted and illustrated by Jean-Pierre Van Binnebeek [https://www.bloggen.be/huldenberg/archief.php?ID=3186459] [accessed 19 May 2022]: the font, inscribed with the date '1621' was a gift of Jean Charles de Hemricourt, Lord of Huldenberg, and his wife Marie Jammaert [NB: the then priest of this church was Jan Jammaert, a relative of the donor]. TheHemricourt-Jammaert donated to the church also a holy-water stoup decorated with their arm [cf. BSI entry for Huldenberg No. 2]. The above source mentions that the font was moved to the front relatively recently [="In Huldenberg werd de doopvont enkele decennia geleden vooraan, onder de viering geplaatst"]. The font, made of dark-gray limestone, consists of an octagonal basin with moulded sides and a rounded underbowl, raised on an octagonal pedestal base and a splaying moulded lower base; the inscription '1621' is carved/incised on the upper rim of the basin; the anagram Chi-Rho is carved/incised on the lower base/plinth; also on the upper rim of the basin, at opposite sides, are two metal staples from an old cover, but there is no cover present now. The outer surfaces of the font have been buffed to a shiny finish, a common practice with this type of limestone.
