Noted in Kees de Wildt's Doopvont de Beeldenstorm (2018: 114-120) as one of a number of baptismal fonts of the Westerkwartier (then part of Flanders, later in France) having been desecrated, damaged or destroyed during the Iconoclastic Fury of 1566. The present font in this church, made of marble in 1837, is listed in BALaT Kik-IRPA [http://balat.kikirpa.be/object/59020] [accessed 15 May 2022]. [we have no information on the date or period of the font destroyed in the mid-16th century riots; it may have been the one from the medieval church here]. There is also a wall-mounted stone holy-water stoup made in 1568; the inscription on its front gives the date and the name of the then 'pastoor', C. Dhondt.
