Font Notes:
A font that appears on a pre-1914 photograph [cf. ImagesArea] was probably destroyed in the destruction of the church by the retreating German army in 1917; the font had a date (1524) on a scroll carved on a side of the basin. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM62001820] as destroyed ["Oeuvre détruite"]. The entry for this village in the Bulletin de la Commission départementale des monuments historiques du Pas-de-Calais, 1920 (description of the war damage) reports a font made of sandstone in 1524; it notes that it was among the rubble of the destroyed church.
