There are photographs dated 1916 of this font and of a wall-mounted holy-water stoup in France Archives [https://argonnaute.parisnanterre.fr/ark:/14707/a011511862957RF4isJ] [accessed 30 April 2022]; the context in which the photographs were taken show considerable damage to the church in WWI. The entry for this font in the Inventaire Général du Patrimoine (Nancy) reports: "Les fonts baptismaux furent entourés d'une clôture en fer forgé, ornée de symboles lotharingiens (chardons et croix de Lorraine), portant la date de 1934." The font is listed [ref.: PM54001052] [https://54.lavieduvillage.fr/ObjetHisto.php?NumObjetHisto=PM54001052] [accessed 30 April 2022]: "fonts baptismaux, couvercle des fonts baptismaux [...] 4e quart 15e siècle;19e siècle [...] calcaire; chêne; laiton [...] h = 48 ; la = 75 (Dimensions de la cuve) ; Dimensions du pied : h = 46, la = 55. Dimension du couvercle : h = 44" [NB: the wooden font cover illustrated in the 1916 photograph is octagonal and flat, with a side metal lock; the cover referred to in the listing entry [cf. supra] mentions the material as brass, and a height of 44 cm"; [cf.
