A wooden font of the popular 17th-century baluster type made by Johan Mentzefver in 1694; the caption of the illustration in Ihrfors gives the location of the font at the time in the atrium of the church. The wooden font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin with a ribbed or gadrooned pattern all around; the centre ring is an elaborate braid; the tapering stem is decorated with large grape bunches; the splaying lower base rests on three couchant lions. The font has two inscriptions painted on it in black lettering; the basin has an inscription painted all around below the upper rim; there is also a similarly rendered inscription around the lower base; we do not have a full transcription of them but they appears to refer to the date and maker of the font; the one on the lower base includes the date "1694". No cover present [as a wooden font it was probably used with a metal baptismal dish or a metal insert to hold the blessed water]. There are two fonts in this church [cf. BSI entry for Traryd No. 1 for the medieval stone font in this church].
