Listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [tp://balat.kikirpa.be/object/1161] [accessed 22 April 2022] as a stone baptismal font made ca. 1500 and a font cover made of metal ["koperslager"] of ca. 1700. A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 21 April 2022) informs of a medieval church in Aa Plosj; it fell into disrepair by 1700; a new church was built 1.5 km away, in today's Oetingen, using some materials from the old church; only a small chapel remains in the original site. The baptismal font of ca. 1500 (known locally as “voenjtj”) and its brass cover of ca. 1700, were moved to the new church in Oetingen; the information received further notes that the font is no longer used for baptisms now [see also https://inventaris.onroerenderfgoed.be/erfgoedobjecten/39203] [accessed 24 April 2022]
