A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 7 April 2022) provided two sources on the history of the church: De monumenten in de voormalige baronie van Breda, by Jan Kalf, Utrecht, 1912 and Voorloopige lijst der Nederlandsche monumenten van geschiedenis en kunst. Deel X. De provincie Noord-Brabant, 1931; both sources report a baptismal font made of copper in the late-17th century in this church, but make no mention of the lost (?) font of the medieval church.
