A communication by Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 9 March 2022) informs of an oval/oblong veined marble holy-water stoup in this church; the basin is wall-mounted but also supported by a pedestal od aproximaterly the same shape.
A further communication from POl Herman (e-mail of 1 March 2022) provides the following references to a missing font:
1) De Maasgouw, 15 juni 1903, Aantekeningen omtrent kunstvoorwerpen, oudheden, enz… in Limburg, by A.J.A. Flament. In the church is an old Romanesque baptismal font.
2) Voorloopige lijst der Nederlandsche monumenten van geschiedenis en kunst. Deel VIII, I. Deprovincie Limburg (Amby-Meer). Algemeene Landsdrukkerij, Den Haag / A. Oosthoek, Utrecht, 1926. Simple limestone baptismal font, partly 16th century
3) Noord-Limburg, by J.H.A. Mialaret, 1937. Limestone baptismal font, with chalice-shaped basin (17th), on octagonal base (16th)
4) Nieuwe Venlosche Courant, 24th of March 1942. The baptismal font of the church is old-romanesque.
"I [Pol Herman] find no trace of the Romanesque font or of a later font." None of the documented fonts is now present in the church; they may all have been destroyed.
The entry for this church in Kerkgebouwen in Limburg [https://www.kerkgebouwen-in-limburg.nl/kerken/afferden/cosmas-en-damianus] [accessed 12 March 2022] reports a baptismal font in the north transept, but it is likely a modern font.
