A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 6 March 2022) reports a marble font probably of the 17th century at Sint Jans Onthoofding kerk, Loon op Zand. The font is illustrated in a a digital photograph 24 January 2022 by Henco, in Reliwiki [https://reliwiki.nl/index.php/Loon_op_Zand,_Oranjeplein_1_-_Johannes_Onthoofding] [accessed 11 March 2022]. The font consists of an nlong/oval basin of reddish veined marble with metal handles on the narrow ends; it is raised on a pedestal base, also oblong in shape, and a rectangular lower base; the two blocks of the base appear to be grey-bluish limestone. Baroque font cover of metal, appears to be made of copper with gold(?) trims. [NB: we have no information on the font of the font of the late-14th century church here]
