Regnerus Stensma's Middeleeuwse doopvonten uit Friese kerken, in Keppelstok, Stichting Alde Fryske Tsjerken, nr. 58, June 1999 notes: High-Gothic font from the fourteenth century that served for a long time as a flower box in the rectory garden, height 123 cm, depth of the tub 22 cm, diameter of the basin 66 cm. The gray sandstone font in the Oosterwolde church dates from the fourteenth century, but is considerably larger and is more decorated than that of Oldeberkoop. The octagonal basin is decorated on one side with a Gothic quatrefoil, while the narrow octagonal column shows a niche with a simple Gothic crowning on each side. One of the edges of the basin is damaged. For a long time the font stood in the garden of the rectory and served as a flower box. In the 1940s it was placed back in the church. The Dorpskerk Oosterwolde Friesland [https://dorpskerkoosterwolde.com/] [accessed 6 March 2022] notes and illustrates a baptismal of stone made in the 14th century; octagonal basin with a torus-scotia-torus all around below the upper rim, and a narrow vine below; plain underbowl; raised on an octagonal pedestal base with a Gothic window on each side. No cover present.
