A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 2 March 2022) tracked a stone baptismal font from the clandestine Catholic church founded ca. 1650 in the Kuipersstraat in Amsterdam, outside the city, at the Utrecht gate. The parish was dedicated to Saint Willibrordus. In 1873 that church was closed and the font was moved to the new church named "Sint-Willibrorduskerk Buiten de Veste". From there the font was moved to a new RC church being built in Amsterdam. Its last liturgical location was at the Thomas van Aquino church (1926- demolished 2004). In 1933 this church received a newly made font and the old one was moved to the Museum Amstelkring [NB: this museum later became the Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder]. After questioning, it would appear that the baptismal font cannot be found in the current collection of the museum. A 2 March 2022 communication to Pol Herman from Pieter-Jan van Giersbergen, Assistent van de conservator, Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder | Oudezijds, informed that the Museum is not able to locate that font at this time.
