A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 2 March 2022) notes: "The liturgical objects of the old chapel (built 1696 as clandestine church) were auctioned off on the 27th of November 1957. In the inventory was a “magnificent stone baptismal font with copper lid that was sold to an antique dealer for only 130 Dutch guilders”. See the report of the auction in the Nieuwe Haarlemsche Courant of 28 of November 1957 [cf. ImagesArea]. I can find no trace of this font now." The article "Barokaltaar voor f 1100 naar Duitsland: Veel belangstelling voor veiling kapel in Amsterdam" mentions also other liturgical objects as part of the auction sale. Another such(?) object, appeared for sale in Marktplass [https://www.marktplaats.nl/v/antiek-en-kunst/antiek-religie/m1830406548-zeer-oude-doopvont-antiek] [accessed 17 July 2022], described in the ad [Advertentie m1830406548] as an "oude doopvont"; the object consists of a hexagonal basin of stone, the side decorated with a simple torus-scotia pattern, raised on a splaying pedestal base also hexagonal; in the only source photograph available to us the object appears in an outer corner of a house(?) [cf. ImagesArea]. It could very well have been originally a baptismal font or large stoup.
