The Erfgoed 's-Hertogenbosch collections hold a photograph [#0038388] of a medieval baptismal font taken August 1967 by J.A.M. Roelands; the image shows an object consisting of a roughly cylindrical basin with four human heads set at 90-degree angles, the sides between then decorated with a blind arcade of round arches on columns with capitals and bases, a decor fitting in the Romanesque style and period; the base of the object, however, is definitely not in agreement with the basin, obviously a later replacement, ill-suited to the whole font appearance; it consists of a round pedestal on a round splaying lower base, all made of small stones in the manner of bricks. The basin shows several signs of damage, at least one head missing, etc. The description in the source "Romaanse doopvont in de tuin" tells it all, and the location is given as " 's-Hertogenbosch, Hinthamerstraat 52". in it. A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 2 February 2022) informs that he has pursued inquiries extensive inquiries with the archaeological department of the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch but not been able to get any further information on the whereabouts of this object. A further communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 8 February) informs of his correspondence exchanges with the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, which have confirmed that the font formerly in the 's-Hertogenbosch, Hinthamerstraat 52 [cf. supra] is in the museum in Leiden
