Noted and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [http://balat.kikirpa.be/object/77905] [accessed 23 January 2022] as a holy-water stoup ["wijwatervat"] dated 1401-1450. Shaped much like the baptismal fonts of this area and period, decorated with four heads on the basin sides and an inscription on the eight basin panels below; the lower level of the underbowl and the stem and lower base are covered in decorative motifs and patterns of the late-Gothic period. [NB: we have no information on the baptismal font here] [***does the inscription have the date 1530? -- Pol Herman's e-mail of 23 January 2022 appears to say so -- to be completed***]
