The entry for Het Land van Maas en Waal by A,G. Schulte (1986: 304) in the DBNL [https://www.dbnl.org/tekst/schu211land02_01/schu211land02_01_0017.php#465T] [accessed 31 December 2021] reports a square stone built into the ground beneath the pulpit; it is identified as the survinving lower base of a medival baptismal font made of red sandstone; it shows the stumps of a broad central shaft and four outer detached colonnettes at the angles ["In de terrazzovloer onder de preekstoel is een fragment, formaat 73 × 72 cm, van een rood-zandstenen doopvont als vloertegel opgenomen. Op het bovenvlak tekenen zich vier cirkels af, sporen van een door vier kolonnetten omgeven stipes. De buitenrand is aan één zijde duidelijk gelobd. Het fragment is de voet van de middeleeuwse doopvont. - Literatuur. Voorloopige Lijst 1917, blz. 13."]. A medieval font was among several objects retained when the former church was decommissioned and became a museum in 1987. The entry for this church in Reliwiki [https://reliwiki.nl/index.php/Altforst,_Kerkstraat_21_-_Hervormde_Kerk] [accessed 31 December 2021] reports an oak pulpit of the 17th century with a fragment of a medieval baptismal font as support in this church. 3 Jan 2022 update from Pol Herman: church diused/redundant since 1987; sold to Pim Hengeveld in 1988 and hence used as museum [https://www.tweestromenlandinbeeldengeluid.nl/home/godshuis-wordt-kunsttempel-2009/] [accessed 3 January 2022]; the font base was on display on the ground; Hengeveld dies 2018; church sold by heirs in 2021; no further details known thus far.
