In a communication to BSI (e-mail of 23 November 2021) Pol Herman informs from source Catharina L. van Groningen's De Krimpenerwaard (1996: 202): "Until the 1960s, Ouderkerk aan den IJssel still had the hard stone base of the medieval baptismal font under the pulpit. This was replaced during a restoration by a wooden base that better matched the pulpit." Pol Herman further informs that, after consultation with his source in Ouderkerk aan den IJssel, it appears that there is no present knowledge there on the whereabouts of that font ; the font base is said to have been late-Gothic /15th century octagonal Mosan font with four smooth triangular diamands, and four heads on the basin, similar to the font at Dinant (1472)."
