The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 22 November 2021] notes: "Sobre una roca algo apartada está situada su iglesia, dedicada a la Anunciación del Señor [sic] [...] La pila es de copa, rústica, sencilla, con pie cilíndrico". en torno a los primeros años del siglo XIII, cuando se alzó el grueso del edificio y por otro la fase correspondiente a la segunda mitad del siglo XVI cuando tuvieron lugar las obras de acondicionamiento y reforma de su primitiva fábrica", but mentions no font in it. The font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with a single roll moulding all around except where a Greek cross has been carved [at a later date?]; raised on a round pedestal stem and an oval lower base; the workmanship is very crude and the font is damaged in several areas, with rough cement repairs. No cover present.
