Noted in Sauerman (1904) as similar to the fonts at Hönnepel, Boisheim and Born. Noted in Mackeprang (1941, 2003) in a small group of baptismal font made of limestone in Namur and imported to south Jutland. Inventoried and illustrated in Danmarks kirker [http://danmarkskirker.natmus.dk/uploads/tx_tcchurchsearch/Sjyll_1025-1049_01.pdf] [accessed 21 November 2021] as a Romanesque [!] font of black Namur limestone, only the basin of which is original; the columnar base is a later replacement introduced during the restoration of the font. The font consists of a cylindrical basin with four human heads protruding at 90-degree angles on the upper sides, the panels between decorated with large grotesque heads with foliage stemming from their mouths and forming wing-like shapes; raised on a broad central shaft and four outer colonnettes, all plain; the lower base is square and appears plain as well [NB: the whole base is a modern replacement as per DK above]. The complex font cover is described in DK (ibid.) as Baroque, of 1685.
