The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 13 November 2021] notes: "Contaba con dos barrios [...] Al tener dos barrios, tenía también dos iglesias, que siguen vigentes. [...] la primera está dedicada a San Pedro, Apóstol. Es de base románica, con dos naves románico-renacentistas [...] El ábside es poligonal con alero moldurado y ventanal románico, cegado, con dos capiteles [...] la pila es románica, de copa, lisa, con pie cilíndrico".
