The entry for this church in Rijksmonumenten.nl [https://rijksmonumenten.nl/monument/40418/rk-kerk-st-andreas/zevenaar/] [accessed 10 November 2021] reports a 15th-century baptismal font made of sandstone decorated with tracey patterns ["Zandstenen doopvont (XV) met achthoekige kuip, versierd met traceerwerk."] Pol Martin writes (10 November 2021 e-mail to BSI): "The city of Zevenaar got a church within the canals in 1521, the St. Andreaskerk. The church was ravaged by fire around 1600. In the 17th century all kinds of new inventory items were therefore added, including a pulpit in 1657, a communion rail, a crucifix, a confessional, an organ and two side altars in 1659 and 1662. A baptismal font also seems to have been purchased. The current baptismal font is therefore often labelled as 17th century. When we look at this baptismal font, of which only the basin is old, we can conclude that it is a 15th century eight-sided sandstone basin. Since children were only allowed to be baptized in the city of Zevenaar after 1521 and because the St. Martin's Church had a new baptismal font from 1650, it is obvious to assume that the current baptismal font of the St. Andreaskerk is the old baptismal font of the St. Martin's Church."
