The present font at Sint-Martinuskerk is described and illustrated in Oud Zevenaar (2013) [https://oud-zevenaar.nl/sintmartinuskerk.html] [accessed 10 November 2021], as a baptismal font made of metal [brass?] and dated to 1650 by an inscription on the lid; the chalice-shaped font consists of a rouhgly hemispherical basin decorated with mouldings and a band of concave scallops, with other motifs bulging out on the sides; the matching font cover is decorated with a band of large and pronounced gadroons, and has an orb and Latin cross finial. It stands on a wooden support.
