Font Notes:
Baptismal font of stone consisting of an octagonal basin decorated only with a simple moulding at the lower side rim; tall plain chamfered underbowl; raised on an octagonal-to-square pedestal base decorated with a moulding around the top; four stops where it becomes square. Flat octagonal font cover of wood with metal reinforcements and side lock; at least two othe side panles were drilled in the past for earlier locks [cf. ImagesArea], now plugged. [NB: there is one other object, not listed separately in BSI, that may actually be part of a font: it is actually a composite ofject set up as an altar, a large flat stone that could be the lid of a stone tomb, cemented to a base that looks suspiciously like the base of a former baptismal font -- see ImagesArea File no. 1211107054]. [cf. BSI entries for Perouges No. 2-5 for other objects listed for this church]
