Pol Herman informs (e-mail of 2 November to BSI): "The baptismal font dates from 1552 or 1553 and has returned to the church after years of wandering. It had been removed from the church and lay in the cemetery. The municipality now has it on loan from the Zeeland Museum Foundation, which took care of it at the end of the nineteenth century. The bluestone baptismal font was already in use before 's-Gravenpolder joined the Reformation in 1583." [with information from Reformatorisch dagblad (17 February, 2000, p. 21) and Voorloopige lijst der Nederlandsche monumenten van geschiedenis en kunst, deel VI, De provincie Zeeland (1922, p. 57) A further communication fron Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 27 March 2022) adds: "As you can see, the basin of the font carries a description. According to the Catalogus van het Zeeuwsch Genootschap der Wetenschappen 1890, page 187, it reads: ”Dit es gegeve door Lysbeth Cornelis Willemse weduwe, a. 1552.” [="this is given by the widow Lysbeth Cornelis Willemse, in the year 1552"] Source of the information: Joost van den Berg MA depotbeheerder Zeeuws Archeologisch Depot Senior KNA Specialist Materialen +31 (0)118 670 618 / +31 (0)6 23 39 19 72 jjh.vanden.berg@erfgoedzeeland.nl Annexed document [cf.
