Font Notes:
Baptismal font noted and illustrated in De oude Sint-Pauluskerk te Lanklaar-Dilsen-Stokkem (Prov. Limburg), Archeologisch Onderzoek naar aanleiding van een vondstmelding in 2007, Intern VIOE-rapport 02, by Geert Vynckier, VIOE [Lanklaar.pdf] [accessed 31 October 2021]. The present font is a composite of a Romanesque lower base, square and with the bases or remaing stumps of former colonettes at the four corners; the tub-shaped basin is almost cylindrical, slightly narrower at the bottom, with a flat moulding around the upper sides interrupted by four human heads protruding at 90-degree angles; the pedestal base is cylindrical and plain. No cover present. The font was moved from De oude Sint-Pauluskerk when the new church was built in the mid-20th century.
