Reported in F.A.J. Vermeulen's De Bommeler- en de Tielerwaard (1974-1975) (p. 99) as the base of a former 15th-century baptismal font being used as the base of the 17th-century pulpit: "Deze eikenhouten bovenbouw (XVIIa) rust door middel van een omgekeerde zeskante pyramide op een geverfden hardsteenen voet (XV, vermoedelijk van een doopvont afkomstig), bestaande uit een vierkante plint, waaruit drie sterk versnijdende achtkante geledingen opgaan; de overgang van de vierkante plint naar het onderste achtkant wordt bemiddeld door vier hoekstukken met peerkraalprofiel." [NB: we have no information on the font of the original 12th-century church here].
