Church Notes: building listed in Mérimée [ref.: IA00042086]: "Edifice 2e moitié du 12e siècle, fort endommagé durant les guerres de Religion. Selon l'abbé Michon, ses coupoles auraient été relevées ou restaurées en 1724, 1738, 1739 et 1740. Divers travaux y avaient été entrepris en 1838 et 1846, lorsque Paul Abadie mena, de 1847 à 1854, une radicale campagne de restauration. Il reconstruisit ultérieurement le clocher, qui avait été foudroyé le 27 février 1882"

[NB; we have no information on the font of the original 12th-century church here]
