Scene Description: Source caption: " Runsten U 874, avbildad som tröskelsten på 1600-talet. [...] Träsnitt i Bautil. [...] Leitz och Hadorphs" -- Descriprion in Fornsök Riksantikvarieämbetet: "Runsten, U 874, ca 1,5 m h, 1,32 m br och 0,5 m tj vid roten, avsmalnar uppåt. Stenens fulla längd är 1,92 m . Tolkning: Jarl och ... stenen efter Gerfast, sin fader. Låg tidigare som tröskelsten i vapenhuset till den medeltida kyrkan. Runstenen återfanns 2016-10-03 av Emelie Sunding, Upplandsmuseet i samband med en schaktning för ny ringledare runt kyrkan. Den restes på nuvarande plats 24 maj 2017, ca 9 m NV om fyndplatsen.(Besiktning 2017, lst dnr 435-2588-17)" [NB: the woodblock illustration shows the Runic stone at the time when it was still being used as a threshold stone in the porch [vapenhus] of the church]

Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 940810F2] as a baptismal font of the 'ciborietyp' made of limestone in the mid-13th century. Oak lid of 1898 has Swedish inscription on being baptised in Jesus' name [Mathew 3:6?].
