Noted in Blomqvist (1929) as a Villstadtypen font, in his section on 'Figurlösa' fonts. Noted in Hallbäck (1966). Inventoried and illustrated in Borg (2002) as a baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1200, in the Villstadsgruppen which includes fonts in this county and in neighbouring Västergötland. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 910712F3] as a baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1200 in a regional workshop [in Västergötland?]; the base and plinth are later replacements. No cover present.
