Svagt fyrklöverformad, funten helt överdragen med silverbrons." -- showing the upturned basin in the foregrounf, the pedestal base behind; this view of the basin shows better its quatrefoiled shape; notice also that the pedestal base is different from the 1926 photograph [ImageFileNo. 0210822003], but it appears complete in the ca. 2003 SHM photograph [ImageFileNo.1210822008] -- Tynell (1913-1921) notes that the lower base [27 cm] was at the time buried under the chancel flooring

Font Notes:
Described in Tynell (1913) as a baptismal font of an unkown stone [NB: at the time of Tynell's photograph [cf. ImagesArea] the lower base of the font was buried beneath the flooring in the northeast corner of the chancel, hence the short height given in his source]. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 900518F2] as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the 13th century and, despite its ressemblence with the 'musselcuppsgruppen' of Gotland, it was probably made in a Scanian workshop replicating the Gotland original design; the SHM entry further notes that the traces of paint on this font are old, possibly original. No cover present. The baptismal dish of brass has an emblem and the initials "EK" on it; it is probably dated 1588.
