The entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del románico [www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/HUESCA_Troncedo.pdf] [accessed 18 August 2021] notes: "El único elemento original conservado de época románica es el cilindro absidal". [NB: we have no information on the font from the original 12th-century church here]. The font and the parish church are described and illustrated in Antonio García Omedes [http://www.castillodeloarre.org/HU-Sobrarbe/99040-TroncedoSE.htm] [accessed 18 August 2021]: "La pila bautismal gallonada, es de bonita hechura". Baptismal font probably of the 12th or 13th century; it consists of two elements: a hemispherical basin with extended vertical sides and a quadrangular pedestal base; the basin has a moulding at the upper rim; below it is a row of round arches without supports serving as the upper end of the ribs that cover the rest of the basin and underbowl sides; at one end of the upper basin side, just below the rim is a square indentation which may have served to install the iron lock of the cover [NB: this type of lock and its location are common in early fonts on both side of the eastern Pyrenees]. The pedestal base appears plain except for a bulge or protrusion near the top end, which may have been an ornamental motif but is now too eroded to identify as any particular shape. [cf.
