Described and illustrated in Tynell (1913-1924) as a baptismal font of sandstone in the 'Genarpsgruppen', somewhat similar to the font in Tjörnarp, also in Skåne [cf. BSI entry -- the main difference between the two is that in the Träne font the inverted arches on the underbowl lack supports]. Noted and illustrated in Rydbeck (1936) in her section on palmette fonts. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 900628F3] as a 'palmettegruppen' baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1200. No cover present.
