Tynell (1913-1921) reports that there was no medieval font in this church at the time, nor was one mentioned in the 1830 inventory. The Heksingborks stadslexikon [https://stadslexikon.helsingborg.se/kvistofta-kyrka/] [accessed 26 July 2021] reports that a 1699 written source did mention a font of carved stone painted red and green in this church [="I kyrkan saknas idag medeltida dopfunt, men en skriftlig källa från 1699 omnämner en dopfunt av uthuggen sten, vilken var röd- och grönmålad", but uses the reference to Tynell who does not mention any 1699 reference. The entry for this church in Kyrkokartan [https://www.kyrkokartan.se/056141/Kvistofta_kyrka] [accessed 26 July 2021] has an interesting story about the modern font here; apparently the present font is made of Italian alabaster and was originally made as an ornament for the garden of a Russian Grand Duke but, when the item was being transported by sea ca. 1870 from Italy to Russia, the ship sank near Rydebäck, and the alabaster object somehow ended up in a new life as baptismal font of Kvistofta kyrka [="Bland interiörerna märks dopfunten som är av italiensk alabaster, ett marmorliknande mineral. Den var ursprungligen avsedd att pryda en rysk storfurstes trädgård. På den långa sjövägen från Italien till Ryssland någon gång på 1870-talet förliste skeppet som fraktade den utanför Rydebäck."] The entry for this church in Skånelands Kyrkor [http://www.aasbo-gen.com/sklk/index.php/Kvistofta_Kyrka] [accessed 26 July 2021] adds that C. Hofreter, of Rydebäck, donated the object to the church in 1881.
