Described in Tynell (1913-1921) as the basin of a 'Munkarpsgruppen' baptismal font of sandstone on a replacement base. Noted and illustrated in Rydbeck (1936), who puts it in the 'palmettgruppen' class. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 950627F1] as the incomplete basin of a 'palmettgruppen' baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1200; the SHM entry describes the replacement base as made of brick but covered by a coat of sandstone-like wash; the SHM entry also notes the presence on it of a marble slab with an opening for access to the inner well of the basin, with a crucifix as back-drop. No cover present.
