Font Notes:
Noted in Tynell (1913-1921) as a baptismal font of the 'Hörsgruppen' made of sandstone; Tynell (ibid.) notes that at the time the present font was raised on a round additional block 25 cm tall [cf. ImagesArea FileNo.: 0210622007 for his photograph with the additional block that was later removed]. Described and illustrated in Rydbeck (1936) in her chapter on the Mårten master's workshop, to which she attributes this font. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 900803F3] as a 'Mårtensgruppen' baptismal font made of sandstone in the second half of the 12th century; the SHM entry gives the diameter of the large drain hole in the inner basin well: 12 cm. No font cover present.
