Illustrated in Herman Hofberg's Nerikes gamla minnen (1868). Noted in Kilström (1981). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 930803F1] as a 'mellansvensk verkstad' baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1200. The photograph in the SHM entry [and other later sources] shows a plain, roughly cylindrical basin raised on a round base consisting of a broad ring moulding atop a round splaying lower side. No cover present. Two photographs of this font taken in 1943 by Per Olof Westlund [cf. ImagesArea], however, show the nasin mounted on a round-to-square very different from the one shown in the SHM entry; the 1943 base has a roll moulding atop but the base then becomes square in shape, somewhat like a cushion capital, with top and sides decorated in a foliage pattern.
