The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 19 May 2021] notes: "iglesia dedicada a San Martín, obispo [...] La portada es románica [...] La pila es románica, rústica, con cuatro cruces y con dientes de sierra en borde y pie cilíndrico". The entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del románico [www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/burgos_QUINTANILLA-MONTECABEZAS.pdf] [accessed 19 May 2021] notes that the baptimal font here was moved from a disappeared nearby hamlet [="Al fondo de la iglesia, debajo de la escalera que permite subir al coro de madera se encuentra una pila bautismal románica traída del desaparecido lugar de San Román. Lleva cuatro cruces patadas en el centro de la copa y su parte superior está festoneada por dientes de sierra en bajorrelieve"]. There is a wooden object on the font [cf. ImagesArea] but it is not clear whether it is a cover or not; the upper rim of the basin does have two metal anchorings from on old cover.
