Noted in Hallbäck (1969) as a baptismal font of the 'Starkärrskolan' group, made of soapstone in the second half of the 13th century; the basin has an arcade of twelve arches with vegetation in them. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920506F2] as a 'Starrkärrsgruppen' baptismal font made of soapstone in the second half of the 13th century. The font has a basin of quatrefoild shape, both inside and out; the arcade on the sides contains vegetal motifs as well as symbols in it; the pedestal is also quatrefoiled in shape, a cluster of four constructional colums on a square lower base; there is a thin moulding about 2/3 down the stem; the lower base has a motif on each side. A cover of sorts is present, but it may be really a baptismal dish. The font was located for a time [cf. ImagesArea] at the northeast end, by the pulpit, but is now [ca. 2020] located across the nave, in the southeast corner.
