The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 1 May 2021] notes: "Su iglesia [...] está dedicada a San Torcuato, mártir, y es de base románica de una nave, con una capilla posterior adosada al sur. Su ábside es románico", but mentions no font in it. The entry in the Enciclopedia del románico [www.romanicodigital.com] [accessed 1 May 2021] does not mention the font here either. The font consists of a bucket-shaped basin on a wider circular base; both devoid of decoration; the base is now half buried into the wooden floor, so it is difficult to ascertaing whether basin and base a single or seprate blocks. There is no cover present but the upper rim of the bason retains two metal staples from on old cover anchoring; at least one of the two staples may have been added later, as there is another remains of a plug that had split the stone.
