Font Notes:
Noted and illustrated in Hallbäck (1959) as a baptismal font made of of soapstone in the 13th century, the base of a kind of stone unique to Dalsland; damage repairs in cement; painted in the 1970s renovation of the church. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 930712F4] as a baptismal font of the Dalslandsgruppen made of soapstone ca. 1200; the SHM further notes that an attempt was made to remove the earlier paint but it failed and the font was repainted with gilded accents. No cover present.
