Church Notes: present wooden church of 1795 replaced a previous one, also of wood -- the church has a wooden statue of an enthroned Madonna of the 13thC
Noted in Hallbäck (1959) as a baptismal font made of light-grey soapstone in the 13th century, consisting of an almost square [rounded corners] basin decorated with a rope moulding just below the upper rim and a roll moulding lower down the side, raised on a round-to-square lower base; the round stem decorated with a single roll moulding is actually an addition of 1954, according to this source. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 930510F3] as a baptismal font of the Dalslandsgruppen made of soapstone ca. 1200. No cover present but the font is used witj a metal baptismal dish of later date.
