Font Notes:
Noted and ilustrated in Hallbäck (1959) as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the 13th century decorated with five arches and three-lobed [="treflikiga"] ornaments, while the arches themselves contain lilly-like motifs and animals [="djurfigurer"]; Hallbäck (ibid.) mentions cognate fonts at Ödeborg and Erikstad, plus another two in Bohuslän, as part of a group that shares the decoration of an arcade of round arches -five in this case- with large fleurs-de-lis; this author further mentions that the large and clumsy base may not be the original of this font. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 930713F2] as a baptismal font made of soapstone by the Beslagsmästaren ca. 1200; the SHM entry does not mention any animals among the decorations.
