Noted and illustrated in Hallbäck (1959) and (1961) as a the basin of a baptismal font made of soapstone in the early-13th century and belonging to a group of three or four fonts (Ödeborg, Bärfendal, Valbo-Ryr and Reikstad). made in Dalsland; the sides of the basin are described as being decorated with an arcade of seven arches on columns with square capitals, with simple motifs inside except one which has a cross in it. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 930712F6] as a Beslagsmästaren baptismal font made of soapstone ca. 1200; the incised cross in one of the arches may be a later addition; the SHM warns that the most characteristic motif of this font group is now located at the back, against the wall, and therefore impossible to photograph properly. No cover present.
