The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 22 March 2021] notes: "iglesia dedicada a la Asunción de Nuestra Señora, renacentista, con cabecera románica [...] Su ábside es románico [...] La pila es románica, de copa lisa y borde moldurado y tiene un collarín de piedra en su pie cilíndrico". The roughly hemispherical font with a short pedestal base is partly built into the south wall, at the west end, beneath the gallery. The woden cover, round, flat and plain, is modern. [NB: the design of the font suggests a later date than described in Nebreda [cf. supra]]
