Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920606F3] as an Andreasgruppen baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1200; the basin is decorated with an arcade of seven round arches containing scenes (Nativity, Passion, Michael and the dragon, etc.); the round base is decorated with a vine around the top area and a braid on the sides. The font consists of a roughly cylindrical basin decorated with an arcade of seven arches containing scenes, as indicated above; the scene between the Nativity [left] and the one in which Michael slays the dragon [right] portrays a rampant beast on the back of a male warrior armed with sword and shield passant towards the right, with the Michael scene in the next arch; the warrior appears not to notice the beast on his back; the underbowl has flat ribbing all around; the circular base has graded moulding at the neck and a vine [acanthus?] on the upper surface, with a braid on the vertical sides; the braid is partly plain and partly in 2-strand pattern [unfinished?].
