Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Hallbäck (1963) and (1969) as a baptismal font made of soapstone in the 13th century by master Thorkillus, originally from the medieval church here. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920701F4] as a Thorkillusgruppen baptismal font made of soapstone ca. 1200, the ends of some parts of the 9 and 1/2 vine sections ending in animal head. The font consists of an almost cylindrical basin recorated with vine patterns on the sides and underbowl chamfer; raised on a roughly cylindrical pedestal base decorated with a single moulding, and a splaying lower base, also circular. No cover present.
