Font Notes:
Noted in Hallbäck (1966) as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the 12th century, of the same group as the one in the parish church at Molla, both decorated with animal figures; Hallbäck gives the height as 80 cm and mentions a drain hole in it. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920615F2] as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the 13th century, a provincial work. The font consists of a roughly cylindrical basin decorated with two facing animals very crudely renfered appearing to be shaking paws; the animal on the right has the characteristic tail over its back but not so the animal on the left; were they both meant to be lions?; the base is round with moulded sides. No cover present.
